Thruport Technologies Extends Gold Sponsorship of Fairfax County Police Benevolent Fund and Billy Moore Golf Tournament

ALEXANDRIA, VA and WOBURN, MA, September 26, 2002 - Thruport Technologies, an Alexandria-based application service and managed hosting provider, has teed up for a second year of Gold sponsorship with the Billy Moore Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the Tournament support the Fairfax County Police Benevolent Fund.

Bruce Waldack, Thruport founder and CEO, recognizes the Tournament and cause as central to the Fairfax County community. "Successful businesses like ours owe a debt to the men and women who make Fairfax County attractive to employees and customers," said Waldack. "Now more than ever we recognize the sacrifices made by law officers and their families. I'm proud to support the FCPD in any way I can, and look forward to a long-term relationship with the Tournament" Waldack volunteered this year to donate twice the required amount for "Gold" level sponsorship.

About the Billy Moore Tournament
The Billy Moore Golf Tournament will be held September 27th, 2002 at the Twin Lakes Golf Course, 6201 Union Mill Road, Clifton, VA. Registration begins at 7AM, Tournament play begins at 8AM. Information is available by calling 703-631-9099.
